‘My recent body of works have been about the intuitive mark. Working quickly to create pieces that reference the materiality of painting and also the subject matter—the selfie. Quick mark making aims to reference quick and often throwaway item. I further challenged these ideas by going to the streets and working in public. This allowed viewers to participate in the works by observing the painting and ever-changing self that we choose to share with the world.’
