Bound (Volume 2): Emerging Perspectives on Contemporary Australian Publishing
‘A sustainable industry is one in which firms have the resilience and flexibility to meet changing circumstances and develop the capacity to stay ahead of the game. The publishing industry has shown that capacity in the past and no doubt will continue to do so when the dark clouds finally lift.’
– David Throsby
Bound Volume 2: Emerging Perspectives on Contemporary Australian Publishing serves as a snapshot of Australian publishing industry practices in 2020. In Volume 2, contributors reflect on the role of social media in marketing and industry communication, the rise of podcasting as mainstream entertainment, the digital transformation of community spaces, and the ongoing issues of representation, accessibility and sustainability that continue to impact our publishing industry.
Compiled by students of the RMIT Masters of Writing and Publishing, this anthology combines student industry reports and interviews with established professionals to provide commentary from those inside and outside the industry.
