Contributors for this anthology are RMIT Bachelor of Arts (Creative Writing) students. Editors and other contributors can be found on the About page.

Chloe Bloom is a writer, editor and bookseller living and studying in Naarm. They have an Associate degree in Professional Writing and Editing. Chloe was a participant in Express Media’s 2024 Toolkits: fiction program. Their work has been published by RMIT’s Catalyst Magazine and in What You Become: An Anthology.

Olivia Brcan is a creative writer based in Melbourne, studying for a Bachelor of Creative Writing at RMIT. She focuses on long fiction and scriptwriting, incorporating her family and sisterhood dynamics into her practice. Olivia has interests in travel, cinema, and fictional literature which inspire her work.

Loke Britz is an author who has been working on a Bachelor of Creative Arts at RMIT University for two years now. He has a Patreon account, where he publishes from. Loke is paraplegic, occasionally writing about his disabled experience. Loke’s interests include listening to music and audiobooks, and travelling.

Charlotte Burnett has been writing stories since she memorised all her Golden Words. With a particular interest in fiction and poetry, her work aims to reflect the human condition in bizarre and imaginative ways. She currently runs a primary school library.

Gabriel C. Donaldson is a self-proclaimed ‘hot mess’, a massive history nerd and an emerging playwright and creative nonfiction writer. Donaldson’s works focus on the human condition; exploring themes of fear, self-doubt and ambition in the hopes of helping others through their writing. Donaldson is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Writing at RMIT University.

Callum Figgis enjoys writing speculative sci-fi, and dabbling in fantasy. He has written a screenplay, Divinity, which was received by a dozen different people with generally positive reviews. Having studied at RMIT University for three years, Figgis has earned an Advanced Diploma in Professional Screen Writing and is working towards a degree in Creative Writing.

Neve Grant (she/her) is a writer and editor based in Naarm/Melbourne with an interest in exploring fantastical and supernatural concepts within a contemporary setting. She has an Associate Degree in Professional Writing and Editing, but tends to research history, folklore and mythology from around the world instead of actually writing or editing. 

Ruby Grant is a writer currently living and studying in Melbourne, Australia. Ruby's interests lie in writing escapist fantasy and science fiction stories, with a focus on tackling darker themes. Ruby possesses a wide and ever-changing variety of hobbies, from loom weaving to Muay Thai.

Chris Hachmann (they/them) is an emerging writer from Melbourne (Naarm). They can be seen frequenting local comic shops and scouring the discount single-issue boxes. Chris has a deep love of character writing, art, animation, and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Dylan Igbokwe is a student and aspiring writer, eager to share his insights and perspectives on the world. Although he has not yet published any work, he has contributed content to various websites, promoting services in artistic fields. Dylan is passionate about exploring the intersection of creativity and expression.

Marnie Jordon (she/her) is a Melbourne-based fiction writer. She has an associate degree in Professional Writing and Editing, a penchant for rom-coms and a love for all things Hitchcockian. Her short story, ‘Hollow Faces’, was published in What You Become: An Anthology (2023) and you can find her on Instagram @marnieslibrary. 

Sophie Lawson is a Melbourne-based aspiring writer studying a Bachelor of Creative Writing degree at RMIT. She is writing a wistful nonfiction hybrid piece for the Bowen Street Press. Sophie has been published in the Glen Eira Newspaper and came second in the 2022 Bentleigh Film Festival.

Leonardo Lewis is a writer based in Melbourne, Australia. Born in Norwich, England, Leonardo uses their background and experience with autism in their writing, including their piece ‘Lost in Space’. He prioritises fiction, mixing urban and medieval themes. Leonardo enjoys both computer and board games. Leonardo is currently completing a creative writing degree at RMIT.

Thomas McLean is a writer and budding poet, currently living in Melbourne and undertaking a Bachelor of Creative Writing at RMIT University. For the last two years Thomas has been working as a librarian in a school library, and has developed a profound distaste for both children and the Dewey Decimal System.

Johnny Pendlebury (he/him) is an emerging writer and poet. Johnny is inspired by weather and nature and has a focus on romance fiction with a twinkle of spice. Johnny is a student of the Bachelor of Creative Writing at RMIT and enjoys engaging in video games and card games.

Katerina Poupounaki is a Naarm-based writer with a history of writing practice that stretches further than the oceanic span of her name. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Writing and Cinema Studies Minor at RMIT University. Katerina’s work orbits around the realm of dreams and the subconscious. She visits her local cinema weekly.

Daisy Smith is an emerging fiction and creative non-fiction writer. Daisy is from Nipaluna/Hobart and is currently studying creative writing at RMIT in Naarm/Melbourne. Outside of study, Daisy can be found slap boxing, cuddling and meowing at their Sphynx cat Dobby.

Sarah is an early career artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, Victoria. She is currently studying a Bachelor in Creative Writing at RMIT University. Sarah has wide creative interests including short story writing, poetry and visual art. Sarah also has a keen interest in theatre and filmmaking. She is currently interning for Little Empire on the production team for an indie comedy feature film. 

Jordan Templar is a screenwriter based in Melbourne, Australia. Currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Writing at RMIT, they are chasing their dream of studying and working overseas. They previously completed an Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting, and are particularly interested in writing for video games.

Ben Yuill is a writer based in Yarraville, exploring themes of identity, connection, and transformation. His work spans science fiction, memoir and nonfiction, often reflecting on personal growth, introspection, philosophy and relationships.
